ELECTRICAL & SOLAR ENERGY PROGRAM

About the Electrical & Solar Department

The Basic Electricity & Solar Energy Program is a practical technical training program designed for individuals who want to build a strong foundation in electrical installation and solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.

The program introduces learners to fundamental electrical principles, electrical tools and equipment, wiring systems, safety procedures, electrical installation, basic troubleshooting, solar PV technologies, system components, installation techniques, and maintenance.

Students progressively develop the knowledge and practical skills required to work with basic electrical and solar systems in real-world environments.

Course Expectations

By enrolling in the Basic Electricity & Solar Energy Program, students can expect to:

Electrical Fundamentals

Develop an understanding of voltage, current, resistance, power, energy, electrical circuits, conductors, and basic electrical calculations.

Electrical Installation

Learn practical techniques for installing lighting systems, switches, sockets, distribution boards, cables, protective devices, and basic residential electrical systems.

Electrical Safety

Understand electrical hazards, personal protective equipment, safe working practices, isolation procedures, and basic workplace safety requirements.

Customized English Courses

Tailored English language programs for professionals, businesses, and specialized fields.

Solar PV Systems

Learn how solar photovoltaic systems generate electricity and how major system components work together.

Practical Installation

Gain hands-on experience in electrical wiring, solar panel installation, cable connections, system configuration, testing, and maintenance.

Troubleshooting

Develop the ability to identify common electrical and solar system faults and apply appropriate troubleshooting techniques.
